General Information


This excursion is a joint field trip in cooperation between the University of Vienna, Austria and the University of Ljubljana, Slovenia. The destination is the National Park Hohe Tauern in Austria, where students will have the opportunity to acquire and apply geographic and cartographic expertise. Both theoretical approaches as well as applied research will be discussed.

Registration is required for participation. This field trip can only be attended as a registered student at the University of Ljubljana, Faculty of Civil and Geodetic Engineering. Credits will be accepted at both Universities (Vienna and Ljubljana). Further details and registration formalities will be distributed soon.

The field trip will take place at Lucknerhaus situated south of the Großglockner.

Requirements


Registration via letter of motivation
Participation only with registration through the University of Ljubljana registration procedure
Emphasis in cartography and geography (Master study level)
Strong affinity to cartography and GIScience
Good physical health
Course language English

Expenses


Estimated all-in costs per person €300. Expenses will cover transport, equipment and half board
